The William Lowell Putnam Mathematical Competition is a challenging one-day competitive mathematical examination given in December in the US and Canada where undergraduates compete between universities individually and in teams for recognition, cash prizes, and scholarships. Kiran Kedlaya’s Putnam Problems and Competition Archives
The Mathematical Modeling Competition and the Interdisciplinary Modeling Competition are competitions for teams of up to three students. The contest asks the teams to analyze, solve and present solution reports to novel mathematical application problems. See the COMAP website for more information.
