Gerald Sacks, 1933-2019

It is with sadness that we have to announce that Gerald Sacks passed away on October 4th, 2019. Gerald Sacks was a logician who served as a professor at the Harvard Mathematics Department for 40 years, from 1972 to 2012.
He is best known for Sacks forcing and the Sacks Density Theorem.
