Induced matchings in point-line incidence graphs
HARVARD-MIT COMBINATORICS
When: February 2, 2026
3:00 pm - 4:00 pm
Where: MIT Room 2-143
Speaker: Cosmin Pohoata (Emory University)
Note: The default time and location for [Part II] this semester are Mondays from 3:00–4:00 pm in Room 2-143.
We will discuss some basic questions about induced matchings in point-line incidence graphs over finite fields, some new constructions, and then some connections to other central problems at the intersection of extremal combinatorics, discrete geometry and number theory. Based on joint work with Zach Hunter, Jacques Verstraete, and Shengtong Zhang.
