Illustrating infinity

What do you picture when you think of exp(z), a group of 2×2 matrices, a smooth map, or infinity itself? In this talk we will discuss the practice of mathematical illustration, and give a glimpse of some of the mathematics behind the posters on the first floor of the Science Center.
