Forth year graduate student Anand Patel has been awarded the Derek C. Bok
Award for Excellence in Graduate Student Teaching of Undergraduates. He
was recognized especially for the tireless hours he spent teaching,
helping and motivating his students at all levels. The award is given
to 5 graduate students selected from among the many excellent Teaching
Fellows in FAS courses. This is the second year in a row that a
Mathematics Graduate Student has won the award.

We had outstanding individual results, with four students placing into the top 15.

Congratulations to Jonathan Wang, Harvard senior, who was recently
awarded the Churchill Scholarship by the Winston Churchill Foundation
of the United States.
This is a scholarship for a year of post-graduate study and research
in the sciences, engineering and mathematics at the University of
Cambridge. Competition for this Scholarship is rather intense with only fourteen
Scholarships awarded this year.
