I am a third year PhD student in math at
Harvard, studying under the tutelage of Benedict Gross.
I am interested in various aspects of algebraic number theory and
related fields. My research interests haven't quite settled yet,
but I am working, to one extent or another, on the following areas
of number theory:
- Local Langlands. I'm currently trying to understand Langlands
parameters and L-packets for explicit examples. I also spent a
fair amount of time this past year learning about Colmez's functor.
- Computing with p-adics. I've worked a lot this past year
implementing p-adics in Sage,
and will eventually get around to doing something useful with
them. One possibility is working on using p-adic cohomology to
compute zeta functions of varieties over finite fields, following
Kedlaya. Another
possibility is continuing to think about the structure of the
Eigencurve, following
Buzzard.
