Instructor: Oliver Knill
Office: SciCtr 434

Newly drawn. The main source is Otto Neugebauer's chronological scheme representing the extent of some ancient and medieval civilizations as it appears in Carl. Boyers book "A history of Mathematics". Some terms have been updated to modern spellings. Additionally, for redrawing the picture, I used "A Brief Chronological and Bibliographic Guide to the History of Chinese Mathematics", by Frank J. Swetz, (Penn State University), and Ang Tian Se (University of Malaysia), in Historia Mathematica 11 (1984), page 39-56. See this exhibit.
