Math21a Mathematica Fall 2008 Gallery

back to the course website.

Here are some graphics objects from the Mathematica project. Selection criteria were: originality (either mathematical or implementation), esthethic potential, surprise, elegance and my energy to retype longer commands. Originality can be a matter of luck: if different people submitted a similar or the same object or shading idea. I would just chose the first one crossing my desk. Whether or not an object has made it into this gallery has no affect on grades.

An interesting observation done by Jennifer Xia: from all presidents inaugural addresses, the word that is sayd most (except article/preposition/pronoun or other uninstersting word) is "people" (350 times uses), other notables are "great" at 298 and "peace" at 137.
