  • Research Summary

We innovated a high-resolution real-time 3-D shape measurement system that can simultaneously realize acquisition, reconstruction, and display at 40 fps with 300K points per frame. We have published a number of technical articles in a variety of fields including optics, medical sciences, computer graphics, and computer vision. Our work has already had some impact: one paper was featured the Cover of Applied Optics; one work demonstrated in SIGGRAPH Emerging Technologies was awarded the Best of SIGGRAPH by the Walt Disney Co; and some works were reported by mediaThe technology provides a platform for many scientific researches and industrial applications including manufacturing, medical sciences, computer science, biometrics, and entertainment. This video (70MB) explains the basics of our technology, and this video (13MB) shows the real time capability of our system.
